Mulungu is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that provides health and wellbeing services to Mareeba and its surrounding districts. Our organization encompasses three key areas: Health Services, Social Services, and Corporate Services. Position Overview

The Enrolled Nurse will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of our Primary Health Care Clinic. This position involves providing advanced primary health care while aligning with the objectives outlined in the Mulungu Strategic Plan.

The Enrolled Nurse will work under the guidance of the Clinical Nurse Team Leader and be responsible for maintaining high standards of clinical practice, effective communication, and team collaboration.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse with a commitment to Aboriginal community health. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and demonstrate effective communication skills.

  • Current APHRA registration and completion of a Diploma of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Knowledge of primary health care principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain professional standards and engage in continuous quality improvement.
  • Current Drivers Licence, Federal Police Check, Blue Card (ability to obtain prior to commencement)

The successful candidate will be dedicated to professional development and willing to engage with ongoing training opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge in a culturally sensitive environment.
