About Mulungu
Mulungu Aboriginal Corporation Primary Health Care (Mulungu) Sites in Mareeba are seeking a Caretaker/Gardener to ensure the pristine condition of our sites and outreach locations. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the visual appeal and functionality of our grounds.

Responsibilities
As a Caretaker/Gardener at Mulungu, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining lawns, grounds, and gardens to the highest standards
- Performing tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and fertilizing
- Caring for shrubs, trees, and flowers through planting, trimming, and mulching
- Operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment
- Identifying and reporting any issues with buildings or structures on site
Additionally, you will uphold professional standards in equipment use, participate in performance development processes, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives for our grounds and gardens.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a passionate individual with a keen eye for detail and a love for the outdoors. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or gardening
- Strong knowledge of plant care and maintenance techniques
- Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
You will
- be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- current drivers licence
- current blue card
- Experience and knowledge and skills in vehicles and small engine gardening equipment and maintenace processes.
