General Manager Corporate Services

Full time role based in Mareeba.

Mulungu Aboriginal Corporation Primary Health Care Service is a community-controlled health organization committed to providing culturally appropriate health and wellbeing services to the Mareeba region and surrounding districts. Our integrated service streams—Health Services, Social Services, and Corporate Services—work collaboratively under a unified framework, striving for positive community outcomes.

As a key representative of Mulungu, the General Manager Corporate Services will play a vital role in maintaining strong relationships with government departments, agencies, and the community, ensuring that our services are responsive and aligned with the needs of the population we serve.

Position Overview

The General Manager Corporate Services will be responsible for leading and delivering high-quality services across Finance, HR, Quality Improvement, Administration, Marketing, Communications, and IT. This role requires strategic leadership and effective coordination of executive support services, guiding the continuous improvement of Mulungu’s Corporate Services portfolio through innovative planning and execution.

The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and will be part of the Executive Team, collaborating closely with other members to achieve the organization's strategic objectives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and organizational leadership, with a proven track record in enhancing operational efficiencies and service delivery.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Financial or Business Management; postgraduate qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial management within Aboriginal health services.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on strategic planning and operational improvement.

The candidate should also be familiar with contemporary Human Resource Management practices and possess a commitment to maintaining professional standards within a culturally responsive framework.

Selection Criteria

SC 1      Demonstrate sound understanding of the statutory and legislative requirements in Aboriginal health services

SC 2      Demonstrated strategic mindset with a strong business acumen, consistently identifying ways, improving efficiency and quality of services provided to team.

SC 3     Demonstratable high-level leadership skills and experience including the ability to build and effectively manage relationships at all levels both within and outside the organisation.

SC 5    Demonstrated senior level experience in financial management, people management, digital transformation and service improvement environment, preferably with in Aboriginal community contracted organization.

SC 6       Demonstrate Innovative thinker and someone who is adaptable and willing to learn from others.
