Position Overview
The Health Worker – Sexual Health plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, culturally appropriate health services aimed at addressing the sexual health needs of the community. This position involves networking, supporting, and educating community members on critical public health issues while providing effective case management to enhance overall health and wellbeing.
As part of the health services team, you will engage with community health promotion partners, focusing on the testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections. Your efforts will contribute significantly to improving health outcomes for individuals and families.

Candidate Profile
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual with a strong commitment to community health and cultural safety.
- Qualifications: Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or relevant field.
- Experience in health promotion and knowledge of sexually transmitted infections.
- Proven ability to develop relationships with community members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- AHPRA registration an advantage.
- Working with Children - Blue Card & current National Police Check (within the last six months) + Valid Drivers Licence.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, demonstrate resilience, and have a commitment to personal and professional development. You will be required to maintain professional standards and comply with health and safety regulations while engaging with clients and community members.
