Position Overview
The Health Promotion Program Officer will play a crucial role within our multidisciplinary team, delivering health promotion initiatives that enhance the well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and families. This position involves collaborating with schools, community groups, and other stakeholders to implement health programs that align with our Health Promotion Action Plan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of various health promotion programs, including the Good Quick Tukka Program and the Deadly Choices Work Out Program, ensuring culturally appropriate engagement with our target populations.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual with a strong background in health promotion and community engagement.
- Must hold a Certificate III or IV in Fitness or related field.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with diverse groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Blue Card, QLD Drivers Licence, Federal Police Check (ability to obtain prior to commencement)
The ideal candidate will possess sound judgment, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to promoting health and well-being in the community.
