Position Overview
The Network Coordinator for Culture Care Connect plays a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a suicide prevention network across our service footprint. This position is integral to fostering awareness, early intervention, crisis management, and aftercare services tailored for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
You will be responsible for coordinating the network's activities, advocating for funding, and ensuring that services are accessible and effective. Your leadership will guide the team in achieving high standards of practice, promoting a safe and supportive environment for both staff and the community.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional with a strong background in mental health and social and emotional wellbeing, particularly within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contexts.
- A Certificate IV in Mental Health and 3 years of relevant experience or experience in a similar role.
- Proven leadership skills within the healthcare sector.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in cross-cultural environments.
- Experience in project coordination and community-led planning.
- Blue Card, Federal Police Check, Qld Drivers Licence (Ability to obtain prior to commencement)
As a candidate, you will possess a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, alongside the ability to advocate effectively for clients. Your knowledge of quality improvement processes and contemporary human resource practices will be crucial in maintaining high standards of service delivery.
