Position Overview
The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in the Health Services team, delivering high-quality primary health care that respects and responds to the cultural context of our clients. This position focuses on collaborating with the Integrated Team Care service to enhance Chronic Disease Care management for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage and provide clinical health care while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with clients and team members.
- Conduct preventative and screening procedures, and support client education and community health initiatives.
- Engage in data management, including recording and reporting clinical data to meet Mulungu's requirements.
- Maintain compliance with relevant standards and contribute to quality improvement processes within the organization.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to culturally sensitive care and possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current APHRA registration.
- Minimum five years of nursing experience, preferably in a cross-cultural environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes and contemporary human resource management practices.
- Current Federal Police Check, Qld Drivers Licence (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
